LP Gas Global Technology Conference (GTC-2)
Seoul, Republic of Korea
26th September 2008
Call for Papers

The World LP Gas Association (WLPGA) announces the 2nd LP Gas Global Technology Conference (GTC-2), hereafter referred to as the “conference”, to be held in Seoul, Korea on September 26th, 2008. The Conference will take place in conjunction with the WLPGA 21st annual Forum scheduled for September 24th – 25th, 2008. GTC-2 follows the very successful first LP Gas Global Technology Conference which was held in Chicago in 2006.

The theme of the 21st World LP Gas Forum is “LP Gas: Energy for a Low Carbon World”. Clearly, although the conference has a specific focus on technology, quantification of the positive impact on climate change will be highly valued in all papers submitted. The aim of the conference is to foster an exchange of technical information and ideas among research entities and the worldwide LP Gas industry, leading to increased global market opportunities for LP Gas. This technology focus involves new applications, improved technology for current markets, using energy more efficiently, safe operations, lessening energy’s impact on the environment and improvements in operations, storage, distribution and transportation, as well as customer satisfaction.

Conference Chairs:

James Rockall, Managing Director, World LP Gas Association (WLPGA)
Jin-Sung Jung, Chairman, Korea LPG Association

Abstract submission for the 21st Wolrd LP Gas Forum has ended

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 14th MARCH 2008

Submission Guidelines

We invite original research papers that may be a work in progress; a previously unpublished report; a report that has not had wide international exposure; an innovation of an existing technology or equipment, practice or procedure; or practical experience where something was attempted and it succeeded. Although the focus of the conference is technology, some consideration will also be given to papers describing successful marketing of these new technologies. Specific product sales presentations are not appropriate for this Conference.

Since there are many conferences dealing with oil and gas production, papers dealing with production and processing of LP Gas will be considered only if the focus relates in some way to new market opportunities for LP Gas.

The WLPGA wished to emphasize that technology development is not the purview solely of developed economies where, in many instances, the markets are mature.  Innovation knows no geographical boundaries. Hence, papers are solicited and will be peer-reviewed on the basis of content with emphasis on performance and results, and without consideration for the budget available to the author.

Suggested topics for the Conference include all areas of the LP Gas industry as long as there is an emphasis on technology development and improvement that leads to an expanded role for LP Gas use.

Such topics might be presented under any one of the following categories:
